Thank you for using Pocket Savant. This Privacy Policy explains how the Pocket Savant app (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles your information. We have designed Pocket Savant to respect your privacy: the App works entirely on your device and does not collect, store, or share your personal information.

The short version

Pocket Savant does not collect any personal information.
The App has no user accounts and no login.
All your activity — including your scores, statistics, streaks, experience points, and settings — is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
We use no advertising and no tracking or analytics.
The App works fully offline.

Information we do not collect

Your progress and preferences are saved locally on your device using your device’s standard storage. This information stays on your device. If you delete the App, this information is removed from your device.

In-app purchases

Pocket Savant offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock full access. This purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive, see, or store your payment details, such as your credit card number. Apple handles all payment processing in accordance with Apple’s own privacy policy. We only receive confirmation from Apple that a purchase has been made, which the App uses to unlock its features on your device.

The “Report a Question” feature

If you choose to use the in-app feature to report a question (for example, if you believe an answer is incorrect), the App will help you compose an email to us. This email is created using your device’s email app, and it is sent only if you choose to send it.

Any information you include in that email — such as your message and the question being reported — is sent to us by email so that we can review and improve the App’s content. We use this information only to respond to your report and improve the App. Using this feature is entirely optional.

Children’s privacy

Pocket Savant does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. The App contains general-knowledge quiz content and does not include accounts, messaging, or any feature that collects user data.

Third parties

We do not share information with third parties, because we do not collect any. The only third party involved is Apple, which processes in-app purchases as described above and operates the App Store through which the App is distributed.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this policy. Because the App’s privacy-respecting design is central to how it works, we do not expect significant changes.
