GrayMatter Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and the developer of GrayMatter (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using GrayMatter (the “App”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

GrayMatter offers a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time purchase to unlock full access.
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can manage or cancel any time in your App Store account settings.
All payments are handled by Apple, not by us.

License to use the App

We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules set out in Apple’s terms. You may not copy, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or resell the App.

Purchases and subscriptions

GrayMatter offers the following ways to unlock full access:

A monthly subscription that renews automatically each month.
An annual subscription that renews automatically each year.
A one-time purchase that unlocks full access permanently and does not renew.

The price and duration of each option are shown in the App before you confirm any purchase.

How auto-renewing subscriptions work

For the monthly and annual subscriptions, the following terms apply:

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
Your subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price of your selected plan.
You can manage your subscription or turn off auto-renewal in your App Store account settings after purchase.
Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion of a trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Payment and Apple’s role

All purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive, see, or store your payment details. Purchases are also subject to Apple’s own terms and conditions. Refunds, where applicable, are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple’s policies.

Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle information. GrayMatter is designed not to collect your personal information.

No warranty

The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.

Maintenance and support

We are solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the App. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the App.

Apple as a third-party beneficiary

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us only, and not with Apple. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce them against you.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
